Description
Se- cucumbers of the Order Dendrochirata with a usually flattened body and 10-15 tentacles. The ventral side forms a thin-walled sole, sharply limited against the dorsal side. The dorsal side is covered with large, imbricating plates. The mouth and anus are located on the dorsal side. The tube-feet are especially developed along the edge of the circle round the edge, while they are often absent in the mid-ventral radius. On the dorsal side the tube-feet may be present or absent. The mesentery of the posterior intestinal loop is in the right ventral interradius.
