Description
Body elongate, worm-like, up to 10 mm in length; coloured intense red.

Tentacles
There are 10 simple, finger-like tentacles.

Tube-feet
This species lacks tube-feet.

Skin
The skin does not contain any calcareous deposits.

Habitat
This species has been found living on rather coarse sand, not burried in the ground; at depths of 20 m.

Distribution
In the North Sea it is only known from Helgoland. Elsewhere it has been found in Brittany (along the French coast). This species is likely to have a more widely distributed.
